On Splendid Isolation

Abstract

Splendid Isolation is a passiveness protects policy. It was decided and actualized when England was the most powerful country, and the purpose is to protect its profits and colonies.
At present, some scholars take the theory that China would face the “Splendid Isolation”, because after our country“reform and opening”, the economic develops fast, thus China becomes a new powerful country. But some scholars take other theory “Peaceful Rise”. “Peaceful Rise” means that we must develop ourselves first and at same time we must take good relationships with other countries.
This thesis analyzes “Splendid Isolation” and “Peaceful Rise” from three different parts: first, I compared them from different backgrounds of histories; second, I compared them form different conditions of politics; third, I compared them from different conditions of technology. Finally, we can got why China choose the way of Peaceful Rise and how should we do.

摘  要

   光榮孤立，我們可以理解為英國(guó)在它登到世界的頂峰時(shí)，為了保護(hù)自己的既得利益而做出的1種自我保護(hù)的被動(dòng)的政策。
如今，隨著我國(guó)改革開(kāi)放，經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展，有學(xué)者也提出了中國(guó)也將面對(duì)“光榮孤立”的境地。對(duì)此，也有學(xué)者提出了“和平崛起”的理論�！昂推结绕稹焙�(jiǎn)單的說(shuō)，就是在發(fā)展自己的基礎(chǔ)上與世界其他國(guó)家友好相處，共同發(fā)展。
本文分別從3個(gè)角度分析了“光榮孤立”和“和平崛起”：首先從它們所處的不同的歷史背景；其次從他們當(dāng)時(shí)不同的政治背景；最后從它們不同的科技生產(chǎn)力條件下來(lái)解釋為什么中國(guó)選擇走“和平崛起”的道路以及如何走“和平崛起”的道路。
