The application of Metacognitive Strategies In English Listening Learning
Abstract
Listening is one of the main communicating methods in peoples daily life. According to the research of linguists, during the process of peoples using languages to communicate with others, the percentages of listening, speaking, reading and writing are 45 % ,30 % ,16% ,and 9 % respectively. It is obvious that listening occupies an important position in foreign languages teaching and learning. Metacognitive strategies are important ways in English listening learning. It means people regard their own cognitive system as cognitive target to realize and regulate the cognitive process. It has two aspects about Cognition of the cognitive,regulation and control of cognition. Results of the research show that metacognitive strategy-based training is helpful for students in arousing their awareness of using strategy in English learning, improving their listening competence and achievements in listening tests, bringing about more positive emotional experience, such as enthusiasm, clear motives, self-confidence, and so on.

摘 要
聽(tīng)力是人們?nèi)粘I钪杏迷诮涣魃?種主要方法。根據(jù)語(yǔ)言學(xué)家的調(diào)查研究,人們?cè)谑褂谜Z(yǔ)言交流時(shí),聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)各占的百分比分別是45%、30%、16%、9%。由此可見(jiàn)聽(tīng)力在外語(yǔ)教學(xué)中的重要地位。元認(rèn)知策略就是英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)的重要方法。元認(rèn)知策略是指人們把關(guān)注自我的認(rèn)知系統(tǒng)作為認(rèn)知目標(biāo),體會(huì)和調(diào)節(jié)自我的認(rèn)知過(guò)程。它包括認(rèn)知過(guò)程的認(rèn)知和認(rèn)知的監(jiān)控調(diào)節(jié)兩個(gè)方面。研究表明元認(rèn)知策略培訓(xùn)有助于增強(qiáng)學(xué)生聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)的策略使用意識(shí),有助于提高初中生英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)能力和測(cè)試成績(jī),對(duì)不同性別、不同水平學(xué)生的聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)能力有不同程度的積極影響,并能夠增強(qiáng)初中生英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)的情感體驗(yàn),激發(fā)聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)的熱情,明確聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)動(dòng)機(jī),增強(qiáng)聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)的自信心。
